In 2023, PowerCon A/S and WS Technicals A/S initiated a dialogue about a strategic partnership after independently considering entering the energy storage market.
Powercon are the global leader in Shore Power Systems and experts in MW scale power conversion equipment manufacturing, installation and service. BESS and Shore Power Systems has many similarities and share components thus making BESS a natural step for PowerCon.
WS Technical are experts in lithium battery packs development and sales to industrial clients all over Europe. WS Technicals has a long history of sourcing Battery products from China and has extensive relations all over China. Entering the BESS market is a natural step for WS Technicals.
The two companies decided to enter a strategic partnership with the establishment of the co-owned company RESS A/S ensuring a competent and expedient development of utility scale BESS solutions.
